TONDA PF HIJRI PERPETUAL CALENDAR
At Parmigiani Fleurier, they have embraced a vision that goes beyond timekeeping, by honoring cultural diversity and history in every creation.
The TONDA PF Hijri Perpetual Calendar is a horological expression of the Tabular Islamic Calendar developed by Muslims scholars and astronomers in the 8th century. This system made it possible for historians to convert Islamic dates to Gregorian dates, which in turn has made the Hijri calendar possible. The first year of the Hijra (Arabic for "migration") from Mecca to Medina in what is today Saudi Arabia.
The lunar calendar is based on the cycles of the moon, in comparison to the solar Gregorian calendar and lunisolar Chinese Xiali calendar. This makes for a 30-year cycle with each year consisting of 12 months that are 29 or 30 days long. In each 30-year cycle there are 19 common years of 354 days and 11 abundant years of 355 days.
This new Tonda PF Hijri Perpetual Calendar has a 100m water-resistant stainless steel case with alternating satin and polished finishes. With the signature bezel on 950 platinum, and a stainless steel bracelet and clasp.
The viridian green dial is hand-finished and with a Grain d'urge guilloche. Poeredby the Caliber PF009 automatic movement, operating at 28,800 mph. With a power reserve of 48 hours.

From design and movement engineering to case construction and dial finishing, each component is developed within a connected ecosystem of specialist ateliers, allowing for complete control over both technical execution and aesthetic direction. This structure enables the Maison to refine every detail with precision, ensuring consistency, harmony, and a distinctly coherent design language across all timepieces.
At the heart of its process lies a philosophy shaped by restoration expertise and applied craftsmanship, where historical watchmaking knowledge informs modern innovation. Multiple in-house specialists collaborate across disciplines, bringing together traditional artisanal skills such as guilloché and enamelling with advanced manufacturing techniques. The result is a collection of timepieces defined by depth, refinement, and mechanical integrity, where each watch reflects a disciplined balance between heritage-inspired artistry and contemporary horological performance.
