Founded in 1997, Urwerk is one of the most important and sought after brands in independent watchmaking. The brand’s signature style, fusing avant garde sci-fi design with tradition craftsmanship, is instantly recognisable with founders Felix Baumgartner and Martin Frei widely regarded as trailblazers who’s work changed the industry and set a path for others such as MB&F and DeBethune to follow. Urwerk’s unique identity has earned the brand numerous awards and high profile customers including Michael Jordan and Robert Downey Jr, featuring in several Marvel movies on the wrist of Tony Stark.

The 202S ‘Full Metal Jacket’ represents one of the rarest Urwerk models, the 202S is a limited edition of just 50 pieces while the ‘Full Metal Jacket’ version on the steel bracelet is even rarer with only a handful of examples being produced, making it exceptionally hard to find.

The 202 collection evolved the brand’s rotating satellite complication with patented revolving prisms and a unique telescopic minute hand, as well as the world’s first automatic winding mechanism with adjustable turbine regulation. Additional functions include moon phase and day/night indication. The ground-breaking mechanism is housed in the brand’s iconic ‘hammerhead’ design, showcasing complex details and various surface finishes while this extremely rare variant features the stainless steel bracelet and the ‘S’ dial with linear guilloche finish.
