At the crossroads of computational design and Swiss mechanical engineering, MAURON MUSY unveils the MU05-109 ARCHITECT OF GOLDEN COSMOS—a timepiece that transforms watchmaking into an architectural exploration of the universe.

Created in collaboration with architect Arturo Tedeschi, this limited edition of 27 pieces pushes the boundaries of form, structure, and horological expression. Housed in a 44mm microblasted Grade 5 titanium case, the ARCHITECT OF GOLDEN COSMOS transcends conventional design to draw its inspiration from the mathematical order of the cosmos.

Mechanical Architecture: The MM01-SK Calibre

At the heart of the MU05-109 beats the skeletonised Calibre MM01-SK, an automatic Manufacture movement with bidirectional winding. Exposed through an architecture conceived for transparency, the movement becomes more than a mechanism: it is the structural core around which the entire watch is composed.

Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz and offering a 55-hour power reserve, the MM01-SK calibre reflects the raw mechanical expertise of MAURON MUSY. With its 157 components and Swiss lever escapement, it embodies a dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and avant-garde digital creation, where every opening, curve, and tension contributes to a vision of balance and depth.

A Celestial Dial: Meteorite and 18-Carat Red Gold

At the centre of the MU05-109 lies a genuine Muonionalusta meteorite, a fragment of the cosmos aged 4.5 billion years. This eternal celestial base is overlaid with a complex structure in solid 18-carat red gold, algorithmically sculpted to organise light, volume, and perspective around the movement.

This encounter between star-born material and parametric high jewellery gives the watch its singular identity. Each detail appears suspended between mathematics and emotion, as if the architecture of the dial had emerged naturally from the forces of the universe itself.

nO-Ring® Technology: Function and Structure United

The MU05-109 ARCHITECT OF GOLDEN COSMOS integrates MAURON MUSY’s patented nO-Ring® technology, a revolutionary gasket-free mechanical sealing system that ensures water resistance to 300 metres. By eliminating traditional rubber gaskets, this innovation reinforces durability while affirming the brand’s belief that function and structure should exist as one.
