Where Folklore Meets Watchmaking
The Art of the Unfrogettable
The Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin Unfrogettable Turquoise brings together two distinctive approaches to independent watchmaking, combining Louis Erard's unconventional spirit with Konstantin Chaykin's imaginative mechanical designs.
Inspired by the Frog Princess of Slavic folklore, the collaboration transforms a familiar fairy-tale character into an expression of contemporary horology. Japanese craftsmanship adds another dimension through the Himeji Kurozan leather strap, traditionally finished using hand-rubbed leather and Urushi lacquer to create a distinctive interplay of matte and glossy textures.
Developed in the Swiss Jura, the Unfrogettable demonstrates how cultural inspiration, traditional craftsmanship and mechanical ingenuity can come together in a watch that challenges convention.

Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin Unfrogettable Turquoise FAQs
The design takes inspiration from the Frog Princess, a character associated with Slavic folklore. Konstantin Chaykin's distinctive approach to character-inspired watchmaking transforms the traditional regulator display into an expressive face, while Louis Erard brings its own interpretation of independent Swiss watchmaking. The result is a collaboration that combines storytelling, humour and mechanical craftsmanship in a limited-edition timepiece.
Unlike a conventional watch, where the hour, minute and second hands share a central axis, the Unfrogettable Turquoise uses a regulator-style arrangement with separate indications. Its rhodium-treated rotating discs and arrow-shaped minute hand are incorporated into the frog-inspired design, allowing the timekeeping elements to become part of the character's expression. Super-LumiNova C5 accents improve visibility in low-light conditions.
The watch features a black Himeji Kurozan leather strap, sometimes referred to as black diamond leather. This Japanese material combines naturally tanned, hand-rubbed calf leather with traditional Urushi lacquer finishing, producing contrasting matte and glossy surfaces. Purple stitching and a purple rabbit leather lining introduce additional detail, while quick-release spring bars make changing the strap more convenient.
The watch is powered by the Sellita SW266-1 automatic regulator movement, providing hours, minutes and seconds with a minimum 38-hour power reserve. It is housed within a 40 mm Grade 5 titanium case featuring satin-finished and polished surfaces, a transparent case back and sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. Water resistance is rated to 50 metres, and the Turquoise edition is limited to 178 pieces worldwide.
