TYPE 5 BLACK BLACK

Sale price£34,680.00

The robust Grade 5 titanium construction guarantees durability while maintaining a lightweight profile. Oil technology also has many vertues. It not only enhances legibility but compensates for underwater pressure and constant lubrication. The use of oil inside the TYPE 5 cancels out what is known as total internal reflection and ensures complete legibility from any angle providing a clear display that is essential for divers.

Water-resistant up to 100 meters (10 ATM), the TYPE 5 meets the rigorous ISO 6425 standard required for underwater exploration. More than that, this watch withstands various extreme environments and conditions, making it suitable to use anywhere.

It takes 324 components and Ressence’s state-of-the-art innovations for the TYPE 5 to express Time in such a pure and natural way. From the magnetic transmission to the bellow system, explore on our innovation page the technologies that are embedded.

To ensure maximum water resistance, the TYPE 5 features the Ressence Compression Lock System (RCLS), a new caseback mechanism that locks and compresses the gasket with two positions: 'lock' and 'set' The TYPE 5's organic design is inspired by nature. Like sea turtles with their unique shapes that glide through water, this amphibious watch is built for the water. Strapped to your thermal suit, it conforms to your wrist for optimal hydrodynamics.

Ressence believe that displaying the time is essential for a watch.
With extra strong green Super-LumiNova®, readability is as simple
and efficient at night as it is during the day.

The "Ressence Orbital Convex System" (ROCS) is a horological complication module composed of 142 components on a Type 5, including the main and sub discs. Like all their patented ROCS, the ROCS 5 is driven by the minute axle of a customized self-winding 282412 base calibre. The result is an entirely in-motion and ever- changing dial.

The future of reading time

A new language of time display

Ressence approaches watchmaking as an exercise in industrial design, where every component is developed around the principle of clarity and intuitive interaction. At the heart of each timepiece is the brand’s proprietary ROCS (Ressence Orbital Convex System), a patented module that replaces traditional hands with rotating discs mounted on a single, co-planar surface beneath a domed sapphire crystal. This creates a seamless, fluid reading of time, where all indications appear to move as part of one continuous system rather than separate mechanical layers.

The manufacturing process is defined by precision engineering and highly specialised components, combining Swiss horological expertise with contemporary design thinking. Each watch is assembled with a focus on integration, minimalism, and usability, resulting in a unified display that eliminates visual clutter and enhances legibility from any angle. Through this approach, Ressence delivers a distinctly modern interpretation of watchmaking—where form, function, and interaction are engineered as a single cohesive experience.

Time, reimagined without hands

Ressence replaces traditional hands with a continuous orbital display that redefines how time is read, creating a modern intrument where design and function are completely integrated.
