ANTARCTIQUE 38.5MM GREEN AVENTURINE BESPOKE PIECE

Sale price£33,600.00

Czapek’s Antarctique Green Aventurine is a one-of-a-kind creation—an encounter between refined elegance and modern audacity. Like mixing formal with casual, its design language breaks conventions to create harmony, offering the wearer subtle sophistication with absolute freedom of expression. At 38.5mm, its contained proportions and slim profile ensure a discreet yet striking presence on the wrist, balancing sharp angles, open flanks, and contrasting finishes with undeniable strength.

Czapek has long been fascinated by aventurine, exploring its shimmering depths in the Quai des Bergues Midnight in Geneva (2019) and the Faubourg de Cracovie (2022). “It’s a material that we love to play with, and it was a natural step to bring it into the Antarctique—it feels as if they were made for one another. And let’s not forget, Antarctica itself is the best place on Earth for stargazing,” remarks Czapek CEO Xavier de Roquemaurel.

The unique green aventurine used here is a delicate art in itself. First created in Murano in the 17th century, by chance, when a glassmaker let metal filings fall into molten glass, it captures light in countless sparkling flecks, evoking a night sky alive with stars. Its fragile nature demands great skill to work with, and through Czapek’s collaborative établissage approach, partnering with the finest artisans, this unique dial was brought to life. The result: a singular timepiece that marries history, rarity, and cosmic beauty in green.

Where Design Meets Mechanical Mastery

The WATCHMAKING APPROACH

At Czapek & Cie, watchmaking is driven by a constant dialogue between aesthetic intention and mechanical excellence. Each timepiece begins with a clear design vision, where dial architecture, movement layout, and finishing are conceived in harmony to achieve both visual balance and technical performance. Rather than treating the movement as a hidden engine, Czapek develops its calibres as expressive structures. Combining symmetry, asymmetry, and transparency to create depth, light interaction, and architectural clarity.

This approach extends across every stage of development, from in-house calibre engineering to artisanal decoration. Special attention is given to finishing techniques and dial craftsmanship, where textures, guilloché-inspired patterns, and refined surfaces are designed to interact dynamically with light. The result is a signature language of modern haute horlogerie: watches that unite precision mechanics with sculptural design, conceived as both technical instruments and objects of aesthetic expression.

Modern Haute Horlogerie, Reimagined

Precision engineering and expressive design come together to create timepieces defined by architectural balance, refined craftsmanship, and contemporary elegance.
