A rare series of 25 pieces features an exclusive Eastern Arabic calligraphic index at 12 o’clock created by master artist Wissam Shawkat, each watch accompanied by a signed certificate. A second series of 100 pieces offers a clean and elegant Arabic numeral at 12, emphasising balance and clarity. Czapek’s disciplined symmetry anchors the design, while the date aperture at 6 o’clock reinforces the Maison’s commitment to harmonious proportion. This is desert-inspired elegance expressed through precision and purity.

The date window at 6 o’clock maintains the distinctive vertical symmetry that defines the Antarctique collection.

The 40.5 mm case preserves Czapek’s signature double trompe l’œil curvature, enhancing comfort while adding subtle architectural tension. Its integrated stainless steel bracelet includes a practical micro adjustment system along with Czapek’s EasyRelease mechanism, allowing effortless transitions to leather or rubber straps.

THE SXH5 MOVEMENT, A MASTERPIECE OF CRAFTSMANSHIP

Inside the Antarctique Passage de Drake, Sahara Sands is the SXH5 automatic calibre, the first movement fully conceived by Czapek. Each component is crafted in collaboration with leading Swiss specialists. The recycled 950 platinum micro rotor allows an unobstructed view of the movement’s architecture, defined by seven open-worked bridges inspired by the elegance of nineteenth-century pocket watches and the clean geometry of modern Czapek creations. With a free sprung balance and variable inertia, the SXH5 delivers reliable precision and technical sophistication.

THE INTEGRATED BRACELET, DESIGNED FOR DAILY ELEGANCE

Comfort and design meet seamlessly in the Antarctique’s integrated stainless steel bracelet, where each link forms a polished letter C for Czapek. Its ergonomics ensure a light, natural fit on the wrist. Since 2022, the bracelet has included a discreet micro adjustment system that allows the wearer to extend the length by a few millimetres for a perfect fit at any moment.

Czapek’s quick-change mechanism makes it easy to switch between the supplied straps. A wide selection of rubber straps, featuring the Stairway to Eternity pattern from the Passage de Drake dial, and soft calf leather straps with contrasting stitching can be ordered to give the watch even greater versatility.
