Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon 41.5 Steel “Colours of the Moon” Blue
The Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon 41.5 Steel “Colours of the Moon” Blue captures the changing beauty of the night sky through an exceptional combination of astronomy, craftsmanship and colour. Limited to just 18 pieces worldwide, it features a blue PVD-treated mother-of-pearl dial and matching moon-phase sky, a pioneering technique that creates shifting reflections as light moves across the natural material.
At its centre, a blue-tinted mother-of-pearl moon is enhanced with Super-LumiNova, accompanied by hand-painted luminescent constellations. The astronomical display is powered by Arnold & Son’s in-house A&S1512 manual-winding calibre, offering a 90-hour power reserve and complemented by a secondary moon-phase indicator visible through the sapphire case back.
Presented in a 41.5 mm stainless steel case and finished with an ink blue alligator leather strap, this highly exclusive Perpetual Moon brings Arnold & Son’s longstanding connection with astronomical watchmaking into a contemporary expression.

A Legacy Written in the Stars
The Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon 41.5 Steel “Colours of the Moon” Blue continues a connection with astronomy that reaches back to founder John Arnold. In the 18th century, Arnold’s work came to the attention of Astronomer Royal Nevil Maskelyne, whose research into determining longitude explored the use of lunar distances. This relationship helped shape Arnold’s pursuit of highly precise marine timekeepers and established astronomy as an important part of the Maison’s heritage. Today, that history finds a contemporary expression in the Perpetual Moon, where an exceptionally precise astronomical complication transforms the movement of the Moon into one of the watch’s defining features.

Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon “Colours of the Moon” Blue FAQs
The Perpetual Moon “Colours of the Moon” Blue is one of just 18 pieces, combining Arnold & Son’s astronomical watchmaking with an innovative approach to mother-of-pearl. Both the dial and moon-phase sky use blue PVD-treated mother-of-pearl, creating changing reflections across the surface. The blue-tinted mother-of-pearl moon is enhanced with Super-LumiNova, while the constellations are individually hand-painted with luminescent material.
The watch is powered by Arnold & Son’s in-house A&S1512 manual-winding calibre. Measuring 34 mm in diameter and 5.35 mm thick, it operates at 3 Hz and provides an impressive 90-hour power reserve. Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the movement features radiating Côtes de Genève, hand-bevelled bridges, a circular-grained main plate, snail-finished wheels and blued screws with polished, chamfered heads.
The A&S1512 calibre drives the prominent astronomical moon-phase indication on the dial, with the blue mother-of-pearl moon travelling across a matching celestial backdrop. A secondary moon-phase indicator on the case back features graduated markings to assist with precise adjustment of the main display. This complication reflects Arnold & Son’s longstanding focus on astronomy and precision mechanical watchmaking.
The Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon 41.5 Steel “Colours of the Moon” Blue is housed in a 41.5 mm stainless steel case with a domed sapphire crystal featuring anti-reflective coating on both sides. The sapphire crystal case back reveals the A&S1512 calibre, while water resistance is rated to 30 metres. It is completed by a hand-stitched ink blue alligator leather strap with a traditional stainless steel pin buckle.
