Limited to just 18 pieces worldwide, its green PVD-treated mother-of-pearl dial and matching moon-phase sky reveal natural, shifting patterns as they interact with the light.
At the heart of the display, a luminous mother-of-pearl moon is surrounded by the constellations of the night sky, individually hand-painted with Super-LumiNova. The innovative use of PVD-treated mother-of-pearl brings remarkable depth to the composition while celebrating Arnold & Son’s longstanding connection with astronomy.
A 41.5 mm stainless steel case houses the in-house A&S1512 manual-winding calibre, delivering a 90-hour power reserve and driving both the astronomical moon phase and secondary moon-phase indicator visible through the sapphire crystal case back.

Arnold & Son applies a PVD treatment to mother-of-pearl, allowing the material’s natural structure to remain visible beneath its deep green colour. As light passes through the surface from different angles, the underlying layers reveal constantly changing patterns and reflections, giving every view of the dial a different character. Extending the same treatment across the moon-phase sky creates a seamless celestial landscape, while the cool tone of the stainless steel case provides a contemporary contrast to the richness of the green.

Rather than using mother-of-pearl purely for its traditional iridescence, Arnold & Son combines the natural material with a green PVD treatment. The process deposits a fine metallic layer while retaining the depth and organic structure beneath. Changes in light and viewing angle therefore reveal different patterns across the dial, ensuring its appearance is never completely static.
The watch presents an expansive astronomical moon-phase display, driven mechanically by Arnold & Son’s in-house A&S1512 calibre. The celestial presentation is complemented by a secondary moon-phase indicator visible through the case back. Its graduated markings allow the moon-phase indication on the dial side to be adjusted with precision.
Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the manually wound A&S1512 demonstrates the decorative finishing associated with Arnold & Son manufacture movements. Its bridges feature radiating Côtes de Genève and hand-bevelled edges, while the main plate is circular-grained and the wheels are snail-finished. Blued screws with polished, chamfered heads provide further contrast. The calibre operates at 3 Hz and provides a substantial 90-hour power reserve.
The Green edition is produced in a strictly limited series of only 18 pieces worldwide. Reference 1GLBS.M01A.C1242S combines the 41.5 mm stainless steel architecture of the collection with its distinctive green PVD-treated mother-of-pearl dial and celestial display, creating one of three individual interpretations within Arnold & Son’s Colours of the Moon series.
