Czapek Antarctique S Ice Cloud

Sale price£26,200.00

The Antarctique S Ice Cloud from Czapek & Cie captures the serene beauty of polar landscapes through a dial that feels both atmospheric and deeply artistic.

At the centre of the watch lies a rare decorative technique known as nacre brouillée, or scattered mother-of-pearl. Crafted from ultra-thin polished white nacre, each dial is individually finished by hand using tinted varnish applied with a horsehair brush, creating soft cloud-like formations that ensure every piece is entirely unique. The pale icy blue tones and luminous translucency evoke drifting clouds suspended within frozen skies, bringing remarkable depth and natural light to the display.

Powering the watch is the in-house SXH5 automatic calibre, the first movement fully developed by Czapek from the ground up. Its architecture is revealed through an off-centre micro-rotor and a series of finely skeletonised bridges inspired by historical pocket watches and contemporary Czapek design. Combining traditional haute horlogerie finishing with advanced laser engraving techniques, the movement reflects the Maison’s dedication to technical innovation and exceptional craftsmanship.

Presented in a refined 38.5 mm case, the Antarctique S Ice Cloud balances elegance, artistry, and mechanical sophistication in a contemporary expression of independent Swiss watchmaking.

Where Design Meets Mechanical Mastery

The WATCHMAKING APPROACH

At Czapek & Cie, watchmaking is driven by a constant dialogue between aesthetic intention and mechanical excellence. Each timepiece begins with a clear design vision, where dial architecture, movement layout, and finishing are conceived in harmony to achieve both visual balance and technical performance. Rather than treating the movement as a hidden engine, Czapek develops its calibres as expressive structures. Combining symmetry, asymmetry, and transparency to create depth, light interaction, and architectural clarity.

This approach extends across every stage of development, from in-house calibre engineering to artisanal decoration. Special attention is given to finishing techniques and dial craftsmanship, where textures, guilloché-inspired patterns, and refined surfaces are designed to interact dynamically with light. The result is a signature language of modern haute horlogerie: watches that unite precision mechanics with sculptural design, conceived as both technical instruments and objects of aesthetic expression.

Modern Haute Horlogerie, Reimagined

Precision engineering and expressive design come together to create timepieces defined by architectural balance, refined craftsmanship, and contemporary elegance.
