With its openworked reinterpretation, the extra plat rose gold skeleton unveils a new facet of Daniel Roth, showcasing the elevated level of finishing applied to its movement while paying tribute to the great traditions of high watchmaking.
The iconic double-ellipse frame now reveals the full architecture of the calibre dr002sr, introducing a modern finesse to a historically restrained design that highlights the mechanical purity. Produced in extremely small quantities, the piece highlights the maison’s expertise in openworked architecture and hand-finished details.

THE ART OF TRANSPARENCY – EXPOSING THE DR002SR

At the core of the extra plat rose gold skeleton is the new calibre dr002sr, a shaped movement engineered and manufactured entirely in-house at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton. Developed from the dr002, its bridges and plates have been reconfigured for openworking, optimising structural rigidity while achieving maximum transparency. Executed in solid 18k 5n rose gold, the calibre provides a noble and beautiful foundation for the extensive hand-executed anglage.
